The MLS All-Star Game has been an ongoing tradition since 1996. Like in most major league sports, the All-Star Game is an annual showcase of the league’s most talented and most popular players.
Every year, the whole league takes a break from the regular season to watch this display of the league’s best stars. However, aside from the game itself, there isn’t much more too it. What the MLS All-Star game lacks is a full-on celebration of the league and of the sport itself. The MLS needs a full All-Star Weekend, similar to that of the NBA, to help the growth of the sport in the country and the popularity of MLS worldwide.
